In Original Application No. 833/2016, the appointment of petitioner as a Police Patil was challenged, and it is set aside by the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal by its judgment and order dated 13.04.2017. Though, respondent no.3 in the present petition is found meritorious then the petitioner, his claim was rejected on the ground that he did not own any property in the village of which he

Order 2711wp1649.18 is appointed as Police Patil. The Tribunal has relied upon decision of this Court holding that such a criteria is irrelevant. The respondent no.3 has produced domicile certificate evidencing his residence in the same village. The Tribunal has taken into consideration all these aspects of the matter. 3.

We do not find any reason to interfere in the matter. Writ Petition is, therefore, dismissed. No costs.
