Public Interest Litigation No.54/2024 2.

We are sensitive to the joint action being initiated by the Police Authority, Municipal Corporation for removal of the encroachments and unauthorised hawkers from the foot path.

We appreciate such approach on the part of the public Authority. 4.

As regards the decision of the respondent-Municipal Corporation in respect of installation of the hoardings is concerned, the counsel for the petitioner Shri Mandlekar has claimed that such act on the part of the respondent-Planning Authority i.e. Municipal Corporation is contrary to law. 5.

Shri Kunte, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-Municipal Corporation seeks time to submit response to the said issue. 6.

Time of two weeks is granted as prayed.
