DATE : 14/06/2023 Present application is filed for condonation of delay of 297 days in filing appeal. The reason for delay is put forth that due to financial difficulties, he could not file first appeal within time.

The application is vehemently opposed by respondent and submitted that if at all delay is to be condoned it may be subject to condition that applicant will not claim any interest on enhanced compensation as well as statutory amount. 3.

Considering the reason stated, delay in filing first appeal is hereby condoned. It is made clear that applicant shall not be entitled for any interest on the enhanced compensation as well as statutory amount for the delayed period. As such, application is allowed.
