=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Mrs. Bharti Dangre, Government Pleader for Res. Nos.1 & 2. CORAM : B.R. GAVAI & KUM. INDIRA JAIN, JJ.
DATE : 23 rd JANUARY, 2017.
This is an application for extension of time for complying with the order of this Court dated 18/10/2016. Mrs. Dangre, learned Government Pleader states that initially Shri Ravindra Kadam, the Special Inspector General of Police (Nagpur Range), was the Chairman of the Inquiry Committee. It is submitted that most of the inspections and meeting were held under his chairmanship. It is, however, further submitted that Shri Ravindra Kadam has been transferred to Pune and now the deponent Shri Pratapsingh Patankar has taken over the office of the Special Inspector General of Police, Nagpur. It is further submitted that he will have to conduct the inspection afresh and thereafter the report would be submitted.
pil.30.16 2 We find that almost the work was completed under the chairmanship of Shri Ravindra Kadam and on the ground of the transfer of the Officer, the work, which has already been completed, should not go in waste. We, therefore, direct that the remaining work of the Inquiry Committee should also be completed under the chairmanship of Shri Ravindra Kadam and the report be submitted to this Court.
In view of the aforesaid observations, we are inclined to grant extension by four weeks, as requested. The application is allowed and disposed of accordingly.
