By this petition, the accused has challenged the order passed by the respondent - Authority rejecting the prayer of the petitioner - accused for grant of furlough leave. It is prayed that the respondents be directed to grant furlough leave to the petitioner for 28 days. At the time of hearing when a query was put to the learned Advocate for the petitioner as to the period for which the petitioner is eligible for furlough leave, it was stated that the petitioner has undergone 3 years and 30 days of sentence and he is eligible for furlough leave of 28 days as per the amended Rules. On verifying, it is found that the petitioner may be eligible for furlough leave of 21 days.

As we find that there is an attempt to mislead the Court, we are not inclined to entertain the petition as filed.
