Correction in date of birth is sought at the fag end of service. The petitioner is at present aged about 56 years, and the age of superannuation is 58 years. The petitioner is seeking correction in entry in service book, recording date of birth, which is recorded as 08.04.1962. According to the petitioner, the entry should have been 19.09.1962.

In view of Division Bench judgment of this Court in case of Union of India .vrs. Vishwas Bhosle

Order 2501wp660.19 (2016 (5) Mh.L.J. 828), it is not possible for us to entertain such petition for correction of date of birth. 4.

Petitioner has placed reliance upon decision of learned Single Judge of this Court in case of Sitaram K. Jawale .vrs. MHADA and others (2000 (III) CLR 125). However, taking into consideration into the above Division Bench judgment, we do not find any reason to entertain the present Writ Petition. The same is dismissed. No costs.
