This contempt petition is filed on 19/01/2016 making grievance that the respondents have not deposited the amount as directed by the order passed in Writ Petition No.4053/2014 on 05/12/2015, within one month. The order passed on 05/12/2015 was challenged before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Petition for Special Leave to Appeal, which is dismissed on 22/01/2016, however, the Hon'ble Supreme Court granted two weeks' time to the respondents to deposit the amount. The learned Advocate for the respondents has submitted that the amount is deposited within the period granted by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. In view of the above, it cannot be said that the respondents are liable for action under the Contempt of Courts Act. Notice of contempt is discharged.
cp.57.16 2/2 At this stage, the learned Advocate for the petitioner states that the respondents have not deposited the entire amount.
The petitioner is at liberty to agitate its grievance on this count in appropriate proceedings if so advised. JUDGE *sdw
