The petitioner is a convict undergoing imprisonment for life. The petitioner applied to the Jail Authority seeking permission to take admission and attend the regular L.L.B. classes. The Authority rejected the urge on the ground that the petitioner is not seeking permission for any external course, but requires permission of the course, which is only recognized as Full Time Course. The Authority would submit that it is not feasible to permit a prisoner to attend the educational classes on regular basis. 3.

It is apparent that the petitioner is not applying for the external course, but desires that he should be permitted to attend the daily educational course. The urge made by the petitioner is against the rules. Moreover, it is not feasible to permit a prisoner to attend the classes on daily basis.

In view of the above, the petition stands disposed of.
