JAIN, JJ DATE : 30.6.2015 The petitioner's candidature is rejected on the ground that though the petitioner in the application has stated that he was having registered lease-deed, in verification it was found that there was no registered lease-deed in favour of the petitioner for a period of 15 years. It was, therefore, found that the information given in the application was incorrect. In similar facts, while considering the W.P.No. 218 of 2015, we have held that if there is a variance in the information given in the application and the original documents, candidature of the selected candidate shall be liable to be cancelled.
