(3) This is an application seeking to quash charge-sheet (RCC No.2484/2023) arising out of Crime No.283/2023 registered with Police Station Ambazari, Nagpur for the offence punishable under Sections 294, 323 and 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code on account of settlement.

(4) It is the informant's case that on 11.06.2023 around midnight, while he was proceeding from the road, the applicant accosted him abused him in filthy language and also dealt a blow at his head and therefore, the report. The police have completed the investigation and filed charge-sheet. It is informed that yet charges have not been framed.

(5) In the meantime, with the intervention of local residents, the matter has been amicably settled. The informant has filed an affidavit stating that due to settlement and to maintain cordial relations, he has no objection to quash the proceedings. The informant also stated that in said occurrence he sustained minor injuries, for which, he has no grievance. Today, the informant is present and has been identified by his Advocate. The informant reiterated the stand of

giving no objection for which he has filed an affidavit. It reveals that it was a private dispute which has no social impact. We do not see any difficulty in exercising our inherent jurisdiction. The applicant has shown his willingness to deposit the sum of Rs.10,000/- towards costs. (6) In view of above, the application is allowed. We hereby quash and set aside the charge-sheet (RCC No.2484/2023) arising out of Crime No.283/2023 registered with Police Station Ambazari, Nagpur for the offence punishable under Sections 294, 323 and 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code.

(7) The applicant shall deposit sum of Rs.10,000/- with the Government Pleader Library, Nagpur High Court, Nagpur, within one week from today.
