Apart from the settled position of law in the judgment of the Apex Court in the case of State of Maharashtra ..vs.. Keshav Sonawane, reported in (2021)13 SCC 336, the petitioner who has sought validation order in regard to tribe 'Gond-Govari' has conceded before the Committee by giving an affidavit that his caste is incorrectly recorded as 'Gond-Govari', whereas he belongs to 'Govari' caste.

Apart from the above, the documents which were produced and evaluated by the Committee, depict that the petitioner was unable to justify his claim. 4.
