The petitioner, a convict has directly approached this Court seeking his release on regular parole for a period of 45 days.

Admittedly, the petitioner has not applied to the Authority who is competent to grant parole. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that since the son of petitioner is suffering from various ailments and needs surgery, therefore, due to paucity of time, he has directly Rgd.

Order 3101wp56.23 applied before this Court.

On a query, the learned A.P.P. would submit that the authority can dispose of the parole application within a period of 30 days by following requisite procedure.

In view of above, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the appropriate authority to decide the parole application of the petitioner within a period of 30 days from the date of filing of such application, provided petitioner files such application within a period of three days from today.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
