The applicant is charge-sheeted for having committed murder of his father.

2] The witnesses have consistently stated, and the witnesses include the wife of the applicant, that the applicant dragged the deceased from the house and assaulted him with a ubhari (wooden log), in public view. 3] I have perused the material on record including the medical papers.

4] Lest the accused is prejudiced in the trial, I refrain from making any observations on the manner in which the deceased was assaulted. Suffice it to state, that on consideration of the material on record, the gravity of the offence, the manner of assault and other relevant factors, rather than enlarging the applicant on bail, it would be appropriate if the trial is expedited.

5] This application is rejected.
