Heard Shri V. Anand, learned counsel for the applicant/respondent nos. 1 to 5 - land owners, who have filed a cross objection in First Appeal No. 691/2014. The appeal under Section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act is filed by the acquiring body. 2.

There is delay of about 96 days in filing the Cross-objection. The appeal filed by the acquiring body, challenging enhancement is already admitted by this Court. Cross objectors see further enhancement. Reason given is paucity of funds.

As we do not see any malafides, delay in filing cross objection is condoned. Office to register the Cross objection. Civil Application is accordingly allowed and disposed of.
