It is the case of the petitioner that his appeal under Section 17 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 is pending before the Debts Recovery Tribunal for last about one and half year and yet to be decided.

Having regard to the claim put forth by the petitioner before this Court, we deem it appropriate to permit the petitioner to appear before the Debts Recovery Tribunal along with request for expeditious disposal. In case such request is made, the Debts Recovery Tribunal shall consider and grant the same having regard to pendency of the appeal for more than one and half year.
