The petitioner has already invoked a remedy of revision provided under Section 138 of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, 1949(for short, the said Act). Such revision is informed to be pending consideration before the State Government wherein the order dated 29.11.2021 passed by the Commissioner in exercise of powers under sub-section (2) of Section 137 of the said Act is questioned. 2.

Since the said revision is pending since last more than two years, we deem it appropriate to direct the State Government to decide the revision as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of four months from the date of production of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
