The prayer in the petition is for direction to the respondent no.1 to decide the appeal.

The Additional Government Pleader appears for the respondent no.1 and submits that in case if the appeal is still pending, the same shall be decided within a reasonable period.

In this view of the matter, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition in terms of the prayer clause (a).

We permit the petitioner to appear before the respondent no.1 on 3rd March, 2025.

The State Government shall take decision on the appeal expeditiously and in any case within a period of eight weeks from the date of appearance.
