The petitioner's prayer is that land bearing Khasra No.67 admeasuring 2.20 R from City Survey No.2034 at Mouza Khamla, Municipal Corporation House No.3491/A/U4 Ward No.75, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur be declared as freehold land or in alternate directions be issued to respondent No.1 to reduce the lease rent. Further prayer is made for quashing and setting aside the order dated 13/07/2020 passed by respondent No.4. The petitioner has also sought refund of Rs.13,48,013/-.

The appeal against the aforesaid order is informed to have been preferred and the same is pending before respondent No.1 since last about ten months.

That being so, we deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.1 to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 16/05/2023 under the provisions of Section 276 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of one year from the date of production of this order before him. Order accordingly. 4.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
