Heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned AGP for the Respondent No. 1.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that the Petitioner has not been provided with Service Book and unless the Service Book is provided, further steps regarding necessary entries in the Service Book and fixation of salary cannot be taken.

The Respondent - School is stated to be aided and recognized school. The Respondent No. 1 - Education Officer (Secondary) has jurisdiction, though limited, over such aided and recognized educational institution. It is not necessary for a teacher to approach the High Court for SMGate

We direct the Respondent No. 1 - Education Officer (Secondary) to look into grievance of the Petitioner regarding non-supply of the Service Book and issue necessary direction to the Respondent - School after giving the Respondent - School an opportunity to state the reason why the Service Book was not supplied. The Respondent No. 1 - Education Officer (Secondary) will also take a decision action regarding the arrears of salary of the Petitioner from the January 2020 to September 2020, within a period of four weeks. In case the Petitioner not liable to receive the arrears, order be passed giving reasons thereon. 4.
