The prayer of the petitioner is for permission to felling of trees. It is the case of the petitioner that under the provisions of the Maharashtra Felling of Trees (Regulation) Act, 1964, he has already approached respondent No.3 on 16-12-2021 and for last more than two years the said prayer of the petitioner is not decided by the respondent.

Mr. S.M. Ukey, learned Additional Government Pleader states that the Court may pass an appropriate order in the matter.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition with directions to respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to decide the prayer of the petitioner for felling of trees, which is

2 wp1831.24 claimed to be pending since 2021 as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of four months from the date of production of this order.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
