DATE : JUNE 30, 2016 Learned counsel for the petitioner on the last date made a statement that the petitioner would be satisfied if the enquiry is conducted by the Anti Corruption Bureau inasmuch as there are serious allegations regarding acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by some of the respondents.
Mr. Pathan, the learned A.G.P. has placed on record a communication addressed by the Superintendent of Police, Anti Corruption Bureau, Amravati Division, Amravati thereby granting permission to the District Superintendent of Police, Anti Corruption Bureau to conduct a discreet enquiry into the allegations regarding acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known source of income.
In that view of the matter, grievance of the petitioner does not survive. Hence, the Public Interest Litigation is disposed of.
