The Petitioner has sought a direction to the Respondent No. 1-District Deputy Registrar who is holding an inquiry on the Charges under the Maharashtra Money-Lending (Regulation) Act, 2014 against the Petitioner that the Petitioner be permitted to cross-examine the Inquiry Officer.

The Inquiry is still pending. If the outcome of the inquiry is against the Petitioner, it is open to the Petitioner to take this ground in the challenge. It is also open to the Respondents to examine the position to avoid any further challenge on this ground. Thus, we do not deem it necessary that a Writ needs to be issued.
