The petitioner - husband has challenged the order passed by the Family Court by which he is directed to pay an amount of Rs. 2500/- pm to the respondent - wife towards interim maintenance till the disposal of the marriage petition. The impugned order is challenged mainly on the ground that the Family Court has not considered the material on record in the right perspective and without any basis, has come to the conclusion that the income of the petitioner is not less than Rs. 10,000/- pm.

Be that as it may, considering the fact that the amount of maintenance is determined as Rs. 2500/- pm and the marriage petition is at the stage of cross-examination of the respondent (as informed by the advocate for the petitioner), I am not inclined to interfere with the impugned order.

The writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
