By this writ petition, the petitioners seek a declaration that the gram panchayats would continue to exist till the municipal council is duly constituted after elections.
The learned counsel for the respondents point out that the elections to the municipal council are concluded on 27/11/2016. It appears from the aforesaid statement that the cause for filing the writ petition is rendered infructuous, as no interim relief was granted in favour of the petitioners. The writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs.
