15.02.2024 Dispute pertains to the accident claim. Appeal filed by the insurance company has been withdrawn before the Lok Adalat. The respondent no.1 - applicant was permitted to withdraw the decreetal amount in the ratio, as decided by the trial court. The panel, however, did not add the words, "with interest" and, therefore, registry has not paid the interest accrued on the compensation amount.

In view of above and for the reasons set out in the application, the application is allowed as prayed for. Registry shall pay the interest component on the amount of compensation, lying with the registry.
