This is an application for extension of time for furnishing Bail Bonds.

On 18.12.2019, this Court allowed Criminal Application No.1049/2019 suspending substantive jail sentence and grating bail of the applicant since the applicant was already released on bail by learned Judge below after judgment and order of conviction. As per the said order, the applicant was directed to execute fresh Bail Bonds before learned Judge below within a period of one month from 18.12.2019. The applicant was to execute fresh Bail Bonds on or before 17.1.2020. However, as per the application, the applicant filed an application for furnishing Bail Bonds on 22.1.2020 before learned Judge below and learned Judge below refused to grant permission to the applicant to furnish Bail Bonds, however learned Judge did not take the applicant .....2/-

The applicant is driver. He is present and tenders an unconditional apology before this Court. He submits that for his fault he is ready to deposit costs.

Since the applicant was released on bail by learned Judge below, after judgment and order of conviction, and his bail was continued by this Court on execution of fresh Bail Bonds and though there is a delay of 3 days, in the interests of justice, I pass following order:

ORDER

(1) The criminal application is allowed.

(2) The applicant is directed to execute fresh Bail Bonds in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one solvent surety of the like amount. The Bail Bonds to be executed before learned Judge below within a period of 15 days from today.

(3) At the time of execution of the Bail Bonds before learned Judge below by the applicant, the applicant shall deposit Rs.2000/- by way of costs before the Court. If the amount so deposited by the applicant, the same shall be transferred to account of the State Legal Aid Committee.

With this, the criminal application stands disposed of accordingly.
