On a complaint made by the complainant alleging that on a false promise of marriage, the applicant had established physical relations with the complainant on numerous occasions, Crime No. 113 of 2022 was registered against the applicant for the offence punishable under Section 376(2)(n) of the Indian Penal Code.

This Court on 17th February, 2022 while granting ad-interim bail has observed that from the allegations made in the First Information Report, it appears that there was consensual sexual relations between the applicant and the complainant.

Today, on perusal of the case diary, I do not find any material which would change the opinion expressed by this Court while granting ad-interim anticipatory bail.

In that view of the matter, I am of the opinion that ad-interim anticipatory bail granted to the applicant needs to be confirmed.

Accordingly, the application is allowed.

Order dated 17th February, 2022 granting ad-interim anticipatory bail is confirmed.
