By this application, the applicant is seeking permission to implead the applicant as party - respondent no.3 to this petition. 3.
The learned counsel for the applicant submits that Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation is the beneficiary for whose benefit the acquisition proceedings under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Re-settlements Act, 2013 ("Act of 2013 for short) has been initiated to acquire the land of the petitioners. Therefore, the applicant has right to be heard in this writ petition wherein the petitioners are seeking quashment of the proceedings under the Act of 2013.

The aforesaid submission has not been opposed by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the respondents. 5.
After hearing the learned counsel appearing for the parties and for the reasons disclosed in the application which is duly supported by an
2 caw 276.25 in wp7623.23.odt affidavit as well as taking into account the fact that the proposed partyrespondent in writ petition is an authority for whose benefit the land belonging to the petitioners is sought to be acquired. Civil application is allowed.
Let the cause title be amended within a period of one week. 7.
List the writ petition on 17th March, 2025.
