By this writ petition, the petitioner has sought a direction against the respondent-scrutiny committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a time frame. The petitioner has sought the protection of her membership on the village panchayat, till her caste claim is decided.

Ms. Mehta, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the scrutiny committee, states on instructions received from the concerned officer, who is present in the court today, that the caste claim of the petitioner is decided on 27.6.2016 and the same is invalidated. In view of the statement made on behalf of the scrutiny committee, the cause for filing the writ petition would not survive. The writ petition stand disposed of with no order as to costs.
