The applicants are seeking enlargement on bail in Crime 07/2020 registered at Ramdaspeth Police Station, Akola for offence punishable under Sections 7 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
2] The applicants are in custody since 09.01.2020. 3] The allegation is that applicant 1, who was working as Talathi demanded bribe of Rs.4000/- for effecting mutation. The amount was negotiated to Rs.3000/-. The complainant was not willing to pay the bribe and therefore, approached Anti Corruption Bureau. 4] According to the prosecution case, applicant 1 directed the complainant to hand over the bribe to applicant 2 and the amount was accepted by applicant 2 on behalf of applicant 1.
5] The investigation is complete and the papers are forwarded to the Competent Authority for obtaining sanction.

7] The applicants shall be released on furnishing P.R. bond of Rs.16,000/- each with a surety of like amount. 8] The applicant shall attend Anti Corruption Bureau Office, Akola once in month on the first Monday till the charge-sheet is filed.
