The applicant herein has sought to condone the delay in filing the cross-objection. The learned A.G.P. states that the delay is inordinate and no sufficient cause has been made out.

The delay sought to be condoned is no doubt inordinate. However, it is seen that the applicant herein is an agriculturist, whose land has been compulsorily acquired for public purpose. It is stated that the applicant has been facing acute financial difficulty and was unable to file the crossobjection within the prescribed period due to financial constraints. The reasons stated in the application indicate that the applicant has not been negligent and that the delay is not deliberate. No mala fides can be attributed to the applicant.

Hence, in the interest of justice, the delay is condoned. The application stands disposed of.
