The election process is already set in motion. In that view of the matter and in view of the judgment of the apex Court in the case of Election Commission of India vs. Ashok Kumar and others : reported in (2000 ) 8 SCC 216, we are not inclined to interfere in the extraordinary jurisdiction.
In any case, the petitioners have an alternate remedy available in law to challenge the election, if according to them, it is not held in accordance with law. Writ Petition is rejected reserving the right in favour of the petitioners to take recourse to alternate remedy.
