CORAM

:

A.B. CHAUDHARI AND P.N. DESHMUKH, JJ.

DATE :

26th March, 2015.

On 23rd February, 2015, notice was issued by this Court by appointing learned Adv. Ms. Sonali Saware for the petitioner.

The matter came up on 9th March, 2015 and was adjourned to 23rd March, 2015. Thereafter, on 23rd March, 2015, it was adjourned to 30th March, 2015. None of the counsel knew about the marriage of the daughter of the prisoner fixed on 28th March, 2015 and Registry came to know about that when it received the Marriage Invitation Card.

We are satisfied that temporarily the petitioner should be released on parole for a period of one week, in order to enable him to attend the marriage of his daughter on 28th March, 2015, and the prisoner

shall then return to the jail before expiry of seventh day. Learned APP states that there is fear/anger in the mind of witnesses residing at Washim. We, therefore, direct the concerned Police Station Officer at Washim to put surveillance on the activities of the prisoner during the period of seven days.

Criminal Writ Petition No. 152 of 2012, thus, stands disposed of.

Fees payable to learned Adv. Ms. Saware [appointed] for the petitioner are quantified at Rs. 150000 [rupees one thousand five hundred only]. Registry to send this order immediately to the concerned authority.
