The cheque which is deposited is rendered inoperative due to passage of time.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader, Ms. Khan states that if the cheque is returned to respondent 3, fresh cheque shall be issued and handed over to the petitioner directly.

The Registry shall permit the petitioner to collect the time barred cheque.

The petitioner shall approach respondent 3 and handover the time barred cheque and the respondent 3 shall handover to the petitioner fresh cheque in its place. 6.
