DATED : 11-03-2020 The applicant is charge-sheeted for offence punishable under Section 354-A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The applicant did not attend the Special Court and, therefore, non-bailable warrant was issued some time on 07-12-2015. The applicant was arrested on 19-6-2019.

The applicant has moved two applications seeking enlargement on bail which are rejected by the learned Special Judge, Akola.

The anxiety of the learned Special Judge that the long pending trial should be expedited, is understandable. However, a statement is made that although the charge-sheet is filed and the tentative

2 ba138.20 programme was fixed, the trial is yet to commence. The applicant is in custody since 19-6-2019 and in my considered view, can be released on bail subject to stringent conditions. I hope that the incarceration would persuade the applicant not to take the trial casually and that he would refrain from skipping the proceedings. 5.

The applicant be released on furnishing personal bond of Rs.20,000/- with a solvent surety of like amount. 6.

The applicant shall attend every date of hearing and failure to do even on one occasion shall ipso facto entail in cancellation of bail, unless the absence is condoned/exempted by the trial Court.

The applicant shall report at Mana Police Station on every Monday of the week from 11-00 a.m. to 12-00 p.m. till the conclusion of the trial.
