DECEMBER 12, 2024 By present contempt petition, the petitioner is alleging willful disobedience of order dated 4/10/2017 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 1821/2015. This order was challenged before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos. 5600-5601/2024. The Supreme Court, vide order dated 29/4/2024, has heard the rival submissions and considered the material placed on record and, thereafter, was pleased to modify the order passed by this Court.

2] In the circumstances, contempt, if any, will be subsequent to 29/4/2024. The petition having been filed much earlier for contempt of order passed by this Court, which has been modified, the allegation of willful disobedience of order dated 4/10/2017 will not survive. 3] The contempt petition is accordingly dismissed. Resultantly, Civil Application No. 119/2024 stands disposed of. The respondents, however, shall proceed to comply order dated 29/4/2024.
