By this application, the applicant - State of Maharashtra is seeking condonation of delay of 75 days in preferring instant appeal. It is stated that the matter pertains to the proceedings under the provisions of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act, 1999 and voluminous documents were required to be scrutinized. It is also stated that the proposal was sent to Law and Judiciary Department, which was approved. Due to voluminous documents and study thereof, delay of 75 days was caused in filing the present appeal.

Taking into consideration the reasons stated in

paragraph no.2 of the application, stated above, we are satisfied that the applicant has made out case for condonation of delay. Delay of 75 days in preferring the application seeking leave to file appeal is condoned.
