The order dated 07-04-2017 passed by the Additional Collector, disqualified the respondent nos. 3 and 4 from being the Members of the Gram Panchayat on the ground under Section 14(1)(j)(5) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1958. This order was challenged in appeal by the respondent nos.3 and 4 in which the respondent no. 1 by the impugned order dated 30-01-2018, has set aside the order dated 07-04-2017 and remanded the matter back. Since the respondent nos. 3 and 4 who are elected as Members of the Gram panchayat, on 25-07-2015, it is apparent that their term has already expired. Because of it, the petition is rendered infructuous. Hence, it is dismissed as such. (Avinash G. Gharote, J.) Deshmukh
