CORAM : A. S. CHANDURKAR AND VINAY JOSHI, JJ. DATE : JANUARY 23, 2020 None for the petitioners.

In this writ petition the election process of the Kamptee Cantonment Board which elections were to be held on 11/01/2015 was sought to be challenged and a declaration was also sought that a provision be inserted in the Cantonment Electoral Rules, 2007 to ensure the right of a voter to enable him not to vote for any candidate in the elections. The principal grievance of the petitioners was in the context of the elections that were held on 11/01/2015. That challenge has now become academic. Hence it is not felt necessary to adjudicate the said challenge in the present writ petition.

Keeping the grounds raised open, the writ petition is disposed of. Rule is discharged with no order as to costs. JUDGE JUDGE Asmita
