CORAM : SMT. VASANTI A. NAIK AND A.I.S. CHEEMA, JJ.

DATE : SEPTEMBER 29 , 2015.

By this petition, the petitioner has sought a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner to bring the special school for physically challenged children on grantin-aid. The learned Assistant Government Pleader states that the State Government has not yet framed the policy for providing grant-in-aid to such institutions. It is stated that the petitioner has been conveyed by the State Government that as soon as the policy is framed, the case of the petitioner would be considered along with others. It is stated that in the absence of the policy, the prayer made by the petitioner cannot be considered.

In view of the statement made the learned Assistant Government Pleader, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs.

The State Government may, however, consider the claim of the petitioner after the new policy is framed. Order accordingly.
