M.S. JAWALKAR, J.J. DATED : 25/03/2022 The grievance of the petitioner in this Contempt Petition is the non-compliance of the directions issued in Writ Petition No. 4670/2021 dated 18.11.2021. By that order the Sub-Divisional Officer and Tahasildar were directed to decide the petitioner' s representations dated 28.05.2021 and 08.06.2021. By the representation dated 28.05.2021 the petitioner had sought the constitution of a Committee for making inquiry against illegally running brick-kilns. Directions are also sought to close down such illegal brick-kilns.

After notice was issued in the contempt petition, an affidavit has been filed by the respondent no. 2 - Tahasildar stating therein that on 03.12.2021 a Committee was formed to make local inspection. The Committee was asked to submit a report to enable necessary action to be taken if any illegal brick-kiln was found operating. It is further stated that after such inspection orders have been passed imposing penalty for carrying out such illegal activities. The proceedings before the Inquiry Committee have been SMGate

Considering the nature of directions issued in the writ petition, we are satisfied that the cognizance of the representations dated 28.05.2021 and 08.06.2021 has been duly taken by the respondent nos. 1 and 2. If the petitioner seeks further relief in the proceedings, he is free to take such steps as are permissible in law for redressal of his grievance. The Contempt Petition is disposed of. No costs.
