The applicants apprehend their arrest in Crime No. 340/2019, registered with City Kotwali Police Station, Akola for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 323, 504 and 506 r/w Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The First Information Report was lodged by Shaila Parvin Islahuddin, wife of applicant No.5, alleging harassment at the hands of applicants.

The applicants were granted interim protection by this Court vide order dated 20/02/2020. The applicants have attended the concerned Police Station as per directions given by this Court and have cooperated in the investigation.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor makes a statement that charge-sheet is already filed in the present case in the month of July, 2020 and the case is numbered as Regular Criminal Case No.397/2020.

In that view of the matter, custodial interrogation of the applicants is not necessary. Hence the following order :

(i) The application is allowed.

(ii) The interim order dated 20/02/2020 is hereby confirmed.

(iii) The application is disposed of.
