The applicant is convicted by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Amravati in Sessions Trial No.266/2013 for the offence punishable under Section 4 of Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The sentence imposed upon the present applicant is of 7 years. The applicant is in jail. The High Court Legal Aid Sub Committee has appointed Ms Sonali Saware, Advocate for the applicant. Though the application is opposed by the learned A.P.P., for the reasons stated in the application, it is allowed. The delay of 470 days for preferring the appeal is hereby condoned. The application is allowed and disposed of accordingly.
