By the judgment dated 01/08/2018, this Court remitted the matter to the Sessions Court with directions to re-hear the criminal revision application and decide it within three months from the date on which the judgment was brought to its notice. The learned Sessions Judge has requested for extension of time to dispose the criminal revision application. According to the learned Sessions Judge, none of the parties appeared before him after this Court delivered the judgment and remitted the matter, and notices are required to be issued to the parties.

Both the parties were represented before this Court and therefore they were aware that the criminal revision application is required to be disposed within three months. They should not have waited for receiving invitation from the Court to attend the proceedings.

2 apl127.16 In the above facts, the following order is passed:- The request as made by the learned Sessions Judge for extension of time to dispose the criminal revision application by two months is granted.

The applicant and the non-applicant before this Court shall deposit Rs. 5,000/- each with the District Legal Services Authority and produce receipt of it on record of the criminal revision application before the Sessions Court within 15 days.
