By this petition, the petitioner has challenged the nomination of respondent No.3 as a Member of Maharashtra State Haj Committee. Now, by Notification dated 22nd August, 2023, the nomination of respondent No.3 is cancelled. The petitioner further seeks direction that the respondent No.1 to nominate the petitioner as a Member of Maharashtra State Haj Committee under Section 18(1)(ii) of the Haj Act, 2002. 2.

The respondent No.1 shall take the decision on its own merit regarding the nomination of petitioner as a Member of Maharashtra State Haj Committee. 3.
