None appears for the applicant when the matter is called out. The learned A.P.P. is present on behalf of the non-applicant for virtual hearing. With her assistance I have gone through the contents of the application.

The applicant who is convicted in Special Criminal Case No.55/2017, has filed Regular Appeal challenging the order of conviction and as there was delay of 25 days, he has moved this application for condonation of delay. The learned A.P.P. has fairly conceded that this being an appeal against conviction

and as the delay is of 25 days, it may be condoned. 3.

In view of the reasons stated in the application for condonation of delay, the same is allowed and disposed of. Delay stands condoned. Office to register the appeal.

The appellant is convicted in Special Criminal Case No.55/2017 for the offence punishable under Sections 4 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. The trial Court has imposed maximum sentence to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 10 years along with fine of Rs. 10,000/-.
