By preferring this application, the applicant is seeking suspension of sentence and releasing him on bail. 3.

The applicant is convicted for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act in S.C.C. No. 1373/2016, which is confirmed in Criminal Appeal No. 68/2020.

The learned counsel for the applicant submitted that settlement talks are currently underway between the applicant and the non-applicant. However, since the applicant is incarcerated, he is unable to pursue the settlement talks further. He has also shown his readiness to deposit the amount of Rs. 1,00,000/-. In view of that, he be released on bail by suspending the sentence.

Learned counsel for the complainant has no objection for the same.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the applicant, on depositing the amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- within a period of two weeks, the execution of the sentence is suspended till disposal of the revision. 7.

The applicant shall be released on bail on executing P.R. Bond of 15,000/- with one solvent surety of like amount.

Stand over after Summer Vacation.
