The only prayer made by the petitioner is for the direction to the respondents to supply the original Service Book to the petitioner within a time-frame.
It is the case of the petitioner that though the petitioner has submitted the original Service Book to the respondent nos. 3 and 4 when they had asked for the same, the respondent no.3 has not returned the same to the petitioner.
Shri Deshmukh, the learned counsel for the respondent nos.3 and 4 states that the original Service Book of the petitioner was returned to the husband of the petitioner and that fact is noted in the official records. It is stated that if the petitioner is desirous of seeking a duplicate Service Book, she
01.08.wp.1602.16 may apply and the respondent no.3 will supply a duplicate Service Book in accordance with law. Shri Vaishnav, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the grievance of the petitioner would stand redressed, if the respondent no.3 is ready to supply the duplicate Service Book to the petitioner. It is stated that the petitioner would submit a copy of the Service Book possessed by the petitioner to the respondent nos.3 and 4 for taking appropriate action.
In view of the statements recorded hereinabove, we dispose of the Writ Petition, with a direction to the respondent nos.3 and 4 to issue a duplicate Service Book to the petitioner by upgrading the entries therein, within four months. Order accordingly. No costs.
