Considering the reasons mentioned in the application, the amendment is allowed. The same be carried out forthwith. The civil application is disposed of. WRIT PETITION NO. 3659/2021.

The only relief sought by the petitioner-Society is that the Marathi Medium Primary School run by it be permitted to be converted from self financed school to a school on non grant-in-aid basis. The petitioner-Society has made a representation dated 06.02.2020 which has still not been decided. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent nos.1 to 3 submits that considering the passage of time the petitioner can be permitted to make a fresh representation to enable the same to be considered in accordance with law. In view of aforesaid, it is open for the petitioner-Society to make a fresh representation seeking conversion from self financed school to a non grant-in-aid school. Such representation can be addressed to the Secretary, School Education Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai.

If such representation is made, the respondent no.1 shall take a decision thereon expeditiously and preferably within a period of eight weeks from receipt of the same. The decision taken be communicated to the petitioner-Society. The writ petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms. No costs. (URMILA JOSHI-PHALKE, J.) (A. S. CHANDURKAR, J.)
