The only issue which remains in both these petitions, which is sought to be canvassed, is entitlement and release of the terminal benefits to the petitioners as per the 7th Pay Commission, which is informed to be extended to the employees of the respondent-Municipal Council, Tumsar.

This Court vide detailed order dated 12.04.2022 has directed release of funds and accordingly the funds were released in favour of the respondent.

As observed hereinabove, the only grievance remaining is about the release of the benefits as per the 7th Pay Commission. 5.
In the aforesaid background, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petitions with following order:
(i) We direct the petitioners to appear before the Chief Officer, Municipal Council, Tumsar, with detailed representation and calculations on 20.01.2025 seeking benefit under the 7th Pay Commission. (ii) The respondent- Chief Officer, Municipal Council, shall grant personal hearing to the petitioners and also make available the response
931-@P-1199-2018 c 1200-2018.odt 2 of the Municipal Council on the claim submitted by the petitioners and upon consideration of the same, may pass appropriate speaking order within a period of three months from the date of appearance of the petitioners viz. 20.01.2025.
